Printer-friendly version

A Business Continuity Plan (BCP) / Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) involves the creation of a plan for how an organization will recover and restore partially or completely interrupted critical (urgent) functions within a predetermined time after a disaster or extended disruption.

Specifically, the plans identify:

  • measures and arrangements to ensure the continuous delivery of critical services and products, which permits the organization to recover its facility, data and assets.
  • necessary resources to support business continuity, including personnel, information, equipment, financial allocations, legal counsel, infrastructure protection and accommodations.
